I trimmed the top surface and cut another interesting piece of walnut for the lid. I over cut the front side so there will be a lip to help open it. It is going to be hardy box. Another glue up.

The mill I get my wood from threw in a board of catalpa to see how I like working with it. I’ve decided to make a box out of it. I ripped the board down to ~5.5 inches and processed it in the planer and then cut the sections on my new miter sled. Next…
