My pal in Topeka runs a ice cream shop and offered to take on some of my cutting boards. That got me excited, so I spent the holiday weeks pumping out cutting boards. Here are a some of them.
These are the newest batch and feature an “M” and a “V” brand for a meat and veggie side. They are made up of hickory, padauk, walnut, purple heart, teak, and cherry.

Many new “paddle boards” have an offset handle that are easier to manage. It also keeps the knife away from your hand when pushing food into a pot. These are made from birds eye maple, cherry, walnut, and teak.

I had a smudge on my lens when I took this photo, but here are some others (purple heart, walnut, padauk, cherry). The one in the middle is a “chaos board” and has probably 10 different types of wood.

This is a shot of the table at the ice cream shop. I think the fire hydrant is a good pop of red against the wood grains.
I plan on growing my inventory and maybe selling the boards on eveninggrain.com, but I’ll have to figure out the credit card processor and everything else that goes with that. Stay tuned.
