My parents have had a basic idea for tables that go over their no-longer-operational radiators on their front porch for a while. I drew up 3d models for them.
The frame (above) will most likely be pine or poplar: i’m thinking poplar. I’ve had 3 boards of rough spalted maple that I think would look great as the inserts.
I squared out the boards to them get ready and realized that I don’t have enough length. I toyed with joining shorter pieces together, but decided it would look half-assed.
So, I will reach out to my source next week to get some more boards. I’d of loved to plane them down today, but it’s best to do all of them at the same time.
